The World Gastroenterology Association (WGO) is proud to announce that the Asociación Interamericana de Gastroenterología (AIGE) has made the decision to continue offering gastroenterology training scholarships for the WGO Training Centers in Latin America. The WGO is confident that this initiative will prove to be invaluable to the region, the trainees and the training centers themselves.

Gastroenterologists will receive outstanding training In Gastroenterology and/or Digestive Endoscopy during a period of four months at one of the WGO Training Centers in America and US $800.00 for monthly expenses during four months.

Round trip air ticket is to be paid by the National Gastroenterology Society that endorsed the scholar or by the scholar himself.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Instructions:

The applicant should be a Gastroenterologist under the age of 45.  The applicant must be willing to complete a four month training period onsite at the WGO Training Center.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants should submit the following documentation:

-          Completed AIGE Scholarship request-form

-          Letter of endorsement signed by his National Gastroenterology Society AIGE member.

-          Applicant’s  current Curriculum-Vitae

Notice of Approval

The Scholarship Committee will review and approve applications prior to submission to the AIGE Governing Board for final approval.
Applicants will be notified the results  on June 30,2010. Scholarship will begin according to the assigned WGO Training Center.
